Anthology Of Grover Washington Jr. is a 1985 compilation by the late saxophonist Grover Washington Jr. It features many of the jazz radio hits he would take to the charts, but also includes his biggest hit of his career, "Just The Two Of Us", which featured Bill Withers on vocals.
Grover Washington Jr. covered a lot of ground and recorded for many labels in his lifetime. While some prefer the harder, more funkier work he did for the CTI subsidiary Kudu, his lighter work for the label lead him to being signed to Elektra Records. Anthology Of Grover Washington, Jr. highlights the best of his Elektra work. His style of smooth jazz would continue when he moved on to Columbia Records for the remainder of his career, but Washington was able to produce a few hits during his Elektra stay.
