Sou' Fahm, or misunderstanding, is the second CD for Samir Jubran after Taqaseem (improvisations). Jubran sees the oud as the most prominent instrument in Arabic music. Through musical projects with his oud, he tries to quench the thirst for a better future by providing the necessary, meditative and celebratory space.

Sou' Fahm contains nine pieces, two of which were composed by Jubran. The rest are traditional or classical compositions. Different artists accompany Jubran with their instruments such as the nay, the guitar, percussions and the qanun. Jubran emphasizes the importance of projects that incorporate as many Palestinian musicians as possible.

Different styles are presented in the CD. Some pieces are solo oud music, the piece "Lamma Badda," is accompanied by an orchestra, another piece is contemporary and jazzy while another is a classical piece by the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. The piece "Ramallah August 10" was composed by Jubran in reference to the day when the police station in Al-Tira neighbourhood was shelled with an F-16.

Samir Jubran was born in Nazareth into a musical family. He graduated in 1995 from the Muhammad Abdel Wahhab conservatoire in Cairo. Jubran performed solo and with his musical band at a number of Arab and international music festivals such as the Jerash International Festival in Jordan and the Muscat Festival in Oman, in addition to performances in Egypt, France, Britain, Sweden, Italy, the United States and Canada. He also held a number of performances with the celebrated Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. Jubran also composed music for a number of theatrical plays and Palestinians films.
