Review:
Sounds Like This is the third album by Nektar. Sandwiched in as a release between TAB in the OCEAN and the highly acclaimed REMEMBER the FUTURE the double album has not to date received the attention it really deserves.
Recorded in a mere 2 days - live in the Studio without much in the way of editing or studio trickery this album still very much shows the band with a psychedelic Nektar rock sound with a raw vibe throughout.
It is one amazing album. Sometimes it even reminds one of Deep Purple such are the rock roots of the performance and material. Roye Albrightons guitar work is perhaps the best of any on any of Nektars albums.
This is probably Nektars most Rock Oriented album but still carries lots of Progressive leanings throughout. The orginal album was 75 minutes of pure energy and skill. Now with a wealth of bonus material there has never been a better time to add this marvellous recording to your collection.
