René Herrera - Cha-Cha-Chá para un Flautista (2004)

From an early age, René Herrera was aware of his love for music and studied music with the maestro Richard Egües. Egües observed René’s natural talent for playing the flute and spoke to his mother to try and get him to study in a music school. Soon after he had the chance to do an audition with the maestro Ignacio Puey, who at the time was a flute player with the Eio Revé orchestra.
Some years later he joined the Joseito Fernández Unos hijo Orchesta. He stayed with them for seven years. In 1988 he joined the Orquesta América led by the maestro Jorge Machado. Nine years later, he joined the Orquesta Enrique Jorrín led by the pianist Rubén González.
