Autodesk Advance Steel 2026.0.2

Autodesk has released Advance Steel 2026.0.2 is steel construction and manufacturing software that allows structural engineers, draftsmen and manufacturers to develop information-rich BIM models and simplify the production process.

Autodesk Advance Steel 2026 builds on the solid foundation of Autodesk Advance Steel 2024 and Advance Steel 2025, with an additional focus on stability, security, and compatibility.


This release brings a number of important improvements:
- Upgraded to zlib 1.3.1: for security and alignment with AutoCAD verticals
- Improved stability: Navisworks is more stable when opening projects with Advance Steel elements.
- Multiple bugs have been fixed: including bugs when exporting BOM data, issues with DWG files, IFC export and SMLX import/export.


Primary Issues Resolved by This Hotfix
As a result of detailed information from customers, the following were identified and fixed:
- Fixed an issue where Reference Manager stopped working when adding a .dwg file having Advance Steel elements if Advance Steel was installed.
- Updated SQLite library to fix vulnerabilities found in the version of zlib used by the previous version of SQLite.

Autodesk Advance Steel is a steelwork-detailing software package. It features dedicated macros for creating common connections and other structural elements, such as stairs, railings, ladders, bracing and portal frames. In addition, it automatically generates fully-dimensioned fabrication drawings, material lists and NC data for CNC workshop machines
