Each year we send out surveys, release beta builds and encourage you to tell us about your experience so we can make it more enjoyable. We encourage you to let us know, via social media, product forums, surveys, or support, how we can help make your experience even better. CAD supported platform updates.
The following CAD file formats are also supported:
- Alias 2026
- Parasolid V37
- SOLIDWORKS 2025
- JT 10.10
- NX 2406 Series
Mesh enhancements for 2026.0.1
This release fixes minor bugs to improve mesh quality, stability, and speed.
Solver Enhancements for 2026.0.1
The following enhancements to the analysis solvers provide you with better solutions and improved accuracy.
Simulation Compute Manager updates for 2026.0.1
The Moldflow job management system is known as the Simulation Compute Manager (SCM). The SCM has only one instance per system regardless of how many separate users are on that system. SCM 2.6 is installed by Moldflow Adviser 2026.0.1. Refer to Simulation Compute Manager Version 2.6 for What's New In SCM. If your machine's local firewall is active, refer to Opening firewall ports for SCM.

Python API. A new open source Python package now provides direct access to Moldflow’s APIs, making it easier to automate and extend Moldflow workflows using Python. This package is available on GitHub and is fully documented at autodesk.github.io/moldflow-api.
Key highlights:
- Python Interface: Interact with Moldflow’s core functionality using Python, with a more intuitive and scriptable API.
- Macro Recording in Python: Macros are now recorded and played as Python scripts, replacing the legacy VBScript approach.
- Comprehensive Documentation: The API reference with examples are available to help you get started quickly.
Speed improvement for 3D Mesh Editing
The performance of 3D mesh editing operations such as node deletion and merging nodes has been improved. Scripts to emulate legacy behaviours of the Moldflow user interface (Mfview) are no longer provided As this software has not been commercially available for over twenty years, the command-based scripts that mapped behaviours in the Mfview application into equivalent Synergy commands are no longer supported.
The following scripts have been removed:
align.vbs
deln.vbs
delp.vbs
dm.vbs
dr.vbs
dt.vbs
edth.vbs
for.vbs
hcp.vbs
ma.vbs
merge.vbs
mes.vbs
mor.vbs
no.vbs
po.vbs
so.vbs
CAD supported platform updates
The following CAD file formats are also supported.
- Alias 2026
- Parasolid V37
- SOLIDWORKS 2025
- JT 10.10
- NX 2406 Series
Export of additional results in the Scalaris Zip (SDZ) format
The following results are now included in SDZ exports:
- Any supported result generated by a Thermoplastics Microcellular Injection Molding analysis, including some additional bubble results.
- 3D weld line results.
- Fiber length and fiber concentration results.
Mesh enhancements for 2026.0.1
This release fixes minor bugs to improve mesh quality, stability, and speed.
Solver Enhancements for 2026.0.1
The following enhancements to the analysis solvers provide you with better solutions and improved accuracy.
Multiple opening and closing of Valve Gates
At maximum, two open and close cycles are possible for each valve gate controller in a single 3D Flow analysis. In previous Moldflow versions, the possible number of open and close cycles of each controller was unlimited. Midplane and Dual Domain flow analyses do not have any limit to the number of open and close cycles of each valve gate controller.
Valve Gate Control by Pressure
When valve gate open/close actions are set to be triggered by pressure, Moldflow 2026.0.1 may produce slightly different results compared to previous versions. This is due to enhancements in how the local pressure trend is evaluated at the trigger location. For all other valve gate control types, results are expected to remain unchanged.
Venting Analysis for Chemical Foam Molding process
The Venting Analysis feature is now available for Chemical Foam Molding process in 3D analysis. To perform the Venting analysis, follow the instructions to properly set up venting analysis locations and enable the Perform venting analysis option on the Venting Analysis tab within the solver parameters dialog.
Scorch index result for 3D Flow reactive molding analyses
A new Scorch index result is added. It is used primarily for rubber processing. Scorch index is the fraction of reaching the induction time, the time for elastomers to start the main curing reaction. A Scorch index below 1.0 indicates that the main curing reaction is not yet started. A Scorch index above 1 indicates that curing is advanced and may affect the quality of the molding, causing defects known as scorch marks. The new result is displayed as an animated plot and the maximum predicted scorch index is added to the analysis log.
Note: The scorch index plot is included as a default plot in the system defaults.udm file, usually located in the "\Program Files\Autodesk\Moldflow Synergy 2026\data\udm" folder. The system defaults can be overridden by personal default preferences in the asms2026_defaults.udm file, usually located in the "Documents\My AMI 2026 Projects\udm" folder. This personal defaults file is created automatically when you save any personal default preferences. If you have saved some personal default in the original version of AMI 2026, then the new scorch index result will not appear as a default result plot. To make the scorch index plot a default plot, you can either add it as a default plot or delete the personal default preferences file.

What's New in MDB 2026.1
The Moldflow Material Database update includes newly tested materials from both testing laboratories and material suppliers. It also incorporates updates to existing materials from suppliers and removes materials that are no longer available.
Outdated and Duplicated Materials
In this update, while we have incorporated newly tested materials, we have made a concerted effort to eliminate outdated and duplicated materials from the database. Consequently, a larger number of materials have been removed compared to previous updates.
Autodesk Moldflow simulation software provides plastic injection molding and compression molding insights to improve manufactured part quality. Advanced tools and a simplified user interface help you address manufacturing challenges such as part warpage, cooling channel efficiency, material selection, and cycle time reduction.
Moldflow Adviser is the small and cost-effective solution for simulating the design during component development. The Adviser allows the simple import of CAD data from all common systems such as Catia, Creo or SolidWorks, as well as the fast simulation of the component – often only within a few minutes. Despite the extremely simple handling, the Adviser uses functions, solvers and, above all, the Autodesk Moldflow Insight material database, which contains over 10,000 data records.
Moldflow Insight provides detailed material flow, cooling, and warpage results for both injection molding and compression molding processes. Additional control on materials, machines, molds, and processes is possible with Moldflow Insight. Automation with scripts/API accelerate setup and post-processing capabilities. Thermoplastic and thermoset materials are supported, along with customization of materials for part inserts and mold inserts. Advanced molding methods, such as gas-assisted injection molding, injection compression molding, co-injection molding, microcellular injection molding, and many more, are available to discover the best option for your part. Moldflow Insight also has advanced customization of the process including the ability to select the molding machine, specify valve gates, adjust mold materials, solve for a Design of Experiments (DOE) or parametric study, and much more.
Moldflow Synergy is the graphical user interface (GUI) while Moldflow Insight is the solver. Both programs must be installed to analyze a model.
