Carrier SDL (System Design Loads) 6.2

Carrier has released SDL (System Design Load) 6.2 is program calculates design cooling and heating loads for commercial buildings to facilitate HVAC system design.

What's new in SDL (System Design Load) 6.2
System Design Load v6.2 contains the following changes:

1. Building Modeling: Added an “Import gbXML” option to facilitate integration between HAP and CAD or BIM tools.
2. Calculation Engine: Updated the calculation engine to EnergyPlus version 23.2 which resolves certain problems, updates calculations, and in some cases delivers a calculation speed increase.
3. Other Enhancements: Made other enhancements involving project data management, building modelling, space models, air systems, plants, and documentation.
4. Problem Fixes: Corrected problems in HAP v6.1.


The System Design Load program calculates design cooling and heating loads for commercial buildings to facilitate HVAC system design. System Design Load advances the art of HVAC load estimating by introducing the concept of system-based design. System-based design is a technique which considers specific HVAC system features when performing load estimating and system sizing calculations. This is important because many systems have unique features which require special sizing procedures.
