The Tekla product team is pleased to announce the availability of Tekla Structural Designer 2019 SP4 (version 19.0.4.0). The release includes a number of enhancements and issue resolutions.

Tekla Structural Designer 2019 Service Pack 4 Release Notes:

Enhancements & Fixes:

General & Modeling:
- Create Infills In some circumstances, an error or crash would occur when using the Create Infills command. This is fixed in this release.
Design General:
- Beam Design - Westok Beams - BS and EC head codes - design of Westok beams with elongated openings could produce a Pass status, despite elongated openings being beyond the scope of the program. This is fixed in this release, so that the status is correctly set to Beyond Scope for such beams.
Head Code BS:
- Beam Design Steel Beams with web openings - Deflection - when Vierendeel deflection was calculated for web openings, the shear force was incorrectly coming from the load combination instead of the loadcase. This resulted in higher than expected deflection results. This is fixed in this release.

Trimble Tekla Structural Designer this the latest addition to portfolio Tekla Structures of model-based solutions for the architectural, engineering and construction markets. Tekla Structural Designer provides an innovative approach to modeling by combining analysis and design into a single, seamless process. With sophisticated loading and analysis functionality, fully automated design, high-quality documentation and seamless Building Information Modeling (BIM) collaboration, Tekla Structural Designer allows engineers to more efficiently and cost effectively analyze and design multi-material buildings.

Typically, engineers create multiple models for various aspects of a project, such as steel frame and concrete slab design, in separate tools, and then combine those by recreating a new building information model from scratch, wasting time and increasing the potential for errors during the construction process. Tekla Structural Designer eliminates the need to recreate a combined model by allowing engineers to work from the same analysis and design model throughout the entire process. Through powerful integration with Tekla Structures, Trimble's robust 3D modeling software, and other tools, Tekla Structural Designer facilitates more collaborative BIM processes.

Tekla Structural Designer delivers powerful features for optimizing concrete and steel design, including the ability to quickly compare alternative design schemes, efficiently manage changes and collaborate seamlessly. Regardless of project size or complexity, Tekla Structural Designer's fully automated, productivity-enhancing capabilities enable engineering firms to improve operations, successfully bid more projects and enhance client service.

Tekla Structural Designer delivers extensive benefits to address the real-world needs and challenges of engineer.

Tekla Software solutions for advanced BIM and structural engineering are produced by Trimble. Trimble’s construction offering ranges from total stations to advanced software, giving the industry tools to transform planning, design, construction and operation of buildings. Tekla software is at the heart of the design and construction workflow, building on the free flow of information, constructible models and collaboration.
