A Girl's Own Story - by Jane Campion (1984)

In one of his earliest works, highly marked by critics, the director considers such vital issues as teenage sexuality, Beatlemania and the crisis of relations between parents who are over 40.
The film is set in the first half of the 60's, three girls - mature girlfriends, but each its own path to adulthood, to the forbidden-unknown.
The film is very ample, there is no extra footage in black and white.
For his screenplay, Jane Campion won an award from the Australian Film Institute.
