Art - House, Thriller, Short movie

The last film of the cult British director Alan Clarke (1935-1990) is close to elegance images to video art without any words short film that shows one after another, 18 of mysterious murders against the backdrop of urban landscapes of the Northern Ireland capital of Belfast. The film reflects the author's position Clark (who is one of the most socially and politically-engaged filmmakers British cinema) in relation to a wave of sectarian religious violence that swept over Northern Ireland at that time. Name of the film - part of the aphorism "elephant in our living room", means a collective failure to address, which is impossible not to notice. In this case the problem is religious intolerance. The idea of "elephant" borrowed for his eponymous film American Gus Van Sant, being under the impression from this short film. But Van Sant has been the theme of teenage violence.
