A vampire drama done right
First, let me say that when I first started watching this, I dismissed it as being too much like Twilight, only without sparkles. Now I feel bad that I did. This definitely beats Twilight by a thousand miles.

The story's about an introverted security guard named Jacob (Zak Kilberg) who starts experiencing unusual symptoms, such as his skin burning in the sun, and an unquenchable thirst for blood. He meets a cocaine-addicted bartender named Mary (Maya Parish) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, he tries to get his hands on some fresh blood and gets involved with a corrupt orderly, Marcus (Jo D. Jonz), which doesn't go over so well.

The pace was kinda slow, but once I saw the whole thing, I enjoyed it. Jacob was no Edward Cullen, despite his similarity in appearance and personality. The sex scene was hot, in both a romantic and semi-pornographic way. However, I don't regard this movie as a horror movie as I would a drama. 9/10
