Taro Okamoto gained national attention with his Tower of the Sun, which debuted at the 1970 Osaka Expo. The theme of the event was "progress and harmony", but Okamoto believed Japanese were losing their humanity and becoming slaves to machines as their economy boomed. This tower was an important entity considering the existence of humanity. After the Expo closed, the Tower fell into disrepair. Having passed nearly half a century now, Mr. Akiomi Hirano, the leader of the restoration project, is working hard to revive the Tower, believing the artwork's message is even more important today. The restoration of the Tower is to revive the "Monster of Japanese ancient Jomon period". The restoration project of the Tower of the Sun that the members overcame difficulties beyond their imagination by coming up with ideas one after the other. With his encounter with Jomon pottery, Taro spent his whole life fighting to appeal the way that modern people should follow over our lifetime. When we follow in the footsteps of Taro, which Taro himself visited various traditional festivals in Japan in order to deepen, we see what we need to rethink as we confront threats such as climate change.
