Alien beings, whose settlement in a small midwestern town, are disturbed by a young professor determined to rescue his son from their clutches.,Charlie's ex-wife disappears, and he travels to where she grew up–a rural town in the Midwest–to look for her. After fending off an attack, he returns to New York, and finds the story's been reported; in a supermarket tabloid.
