Nell'antica Grecia, la passione dei due tra i più famosi amanti della letteratura, Paride principe di Troia e Elena regina di Sparta, fece scatenare una guerra che distrusse una intera civiltà. Quando Paride porta via Elena al marito Menelao, re di Sparta, compie un affronto intollerabile verso tutta la famiglia, e quindi anche nei confronti del fratello di questi, Agamennone, il potente sovrano di Micene, il quale rapidamente chiama a raccolta tutti i regnanti della Grecia per lavare l'onta subita. In realtà Agamennone non vuole solo difendere l'onore della famiglia, ma anche soddisfare la sua enorme avidità conquistando Troia per prendere il controllo dell'Egeo e assicurarsi così la supremazia del suo già vasto impero. La città governata da Priamo e difesa dal principe Ettore è circondata da alte mura e non è mai stata espugnata. Il solo uomo che può determinare la vittoria o la sconfitta di Troia è il greco Achille, il guerriero più forte in vita all'epoca…

It is the year 1250 B.C. during the late Bronze age. Two emerging nations begin to clash after Paris, the Trojan prince, convinces Helen, Queen of Sparta, to leave her husband, Menelaus, and sail with him back to Troy. After Menelaus finds out that his wife was taken by the Trojans, he asks his brother Agamemnon to help him get her back. Agamemnon sees this as an opportunity for power. So they set off with 1,000 ships holding 50,000 Greeks to Troy. With the help of Achilles, the Greeks are able to fight the never before defeated Trojans. But they come to a stop by Hector, Prince of Troy. The whole movie shows their battle struggles and the foreshadowing of fate in this remake by Wolfgang Petersen of Homer's "The Iliad."

Recovery Volumes (.rev)

Recovery volumes or .rev files are special files which can be created by WinRAR/RAR and allow you to reconstruct missing and damaged files in a volume set. They can
only be used with multi-volume archives.

This feature may be useful for backups or, for example, when you post a multivolume archive to a newsgroup and some of the subscribers did not receive some files. Reposting recovery volumes instead of usual volumes may reduce the total number of files to repost.

Each recovery volume is able to reconstruct one missing RAR volume. For example, if you have 30 volumes and 3 recovery volumes, you are able to reconstruct any 3 missing volumes. If the number of .rev files is less than a number of missing volumes, reconstructing is impossible. The total number of usual and recovery volumes must not exceed 255 and the number of recovery volumes must be less than the number of RAR volumes.

WinRAR reconstructs missing and damaged volumes either when clicking on .rev file, or when using rc command or automatically, if it cannot locate the next volume and finds the required number of .rev files when unpacking.

You may use the "Recovery volumes" option in the Archive name and parameters dialog or a similar option also appears in the Protect archive command to create recovery volumes. In the command line mode you may do it with -rv switch or rv command.

Original copies of damaged volumes are renamed to *.bad before reconstruction. For example, volname.part03.rar will be renamed to volname.part03.rar.bad.
