Hokusai started the series "100 Poems Explained by the Nurse" (Hyakunin isshu uba ga etoki) in 1835 and made 28 colour woodblocks and 62 drawings and drafts with the intention of helping kids understand easily "100 Poems by 100 Poets" as if a nurse narrated the story to them.

Всего к этой серии художник выполнил 28 гравюр и 62 эскиза тушью.
