A reviewer once said that sequels frighten him, because they might not and invariably do not live up to the expectations of the original. But what if the sequel happens to be that based on a genuinely frightening critically and commercially-acclaimed horror film? is an ongoing serialization by BOOM! Studios by way of individual single-issue comic books of the events immediately after those in the motion picture of the same title, connecting it with the latter film's sequel, . It focuses on Selena, one of the three survivors of the first film, as she embarks on the epic journey of her return to Great Britain. Scripted by and ’s Michael Alan Nelson and drawn by newcomer sensation Declan Shalvey, it is, to say the least, quite an impressive sequel in the medium of comic books. The story segues right from the film which is no small feat for Nelson. The art, too, is fantastic, channeling a bit of Ben Templesmith () in the light and shading department, but keeping it clean to make the story gel nicely with the art, like in my favorite, . The only complaint is that it assumes too much the reader is familiar with the film. Other than that, a solid series.
They are trapped among The Infected. They have no supplies. Most of their crew has been killed. Selena, Clint and Derrick must get to London, but will they make it? Selena knows how to survive, but that was when she was trying to get out of London. Now she's going back in. By: Michael Alan Nelson, Declan Shalvey, Tim Bradstreet, Sean Phillips --
