Spider-Girl 1 to 8 (Full Collection)
English | 8 Issues | CBR | 259 MB

Spider-Girl, written by Paul Tobin with art from Clayton Henry and Matthew Southworth, was originally announced as a new ongoing last July 2010 at Comic-Con International: San Diego, and starred Anya Corazon, the character originally known as Araña. It was released in November 2010 and promoted as a tie-in to the "Big Time" developments in Amazing Spider-Man (as if anyone would fail to notice the title banner on the cover of the first issue) at that time. Previous Spider-Girl series starred May Parker, the teen daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane in the "MC2" alternate timeline; since Anya Corazon has had healthy appearances in both Young Allies and the Nomad feature in Captain America, Marvel might have thought it better to introduce "big time" another character in its already burgeoning roster of teen superheroes, but focusing more on the mundane realities of a teenager's day-to-day existence. The down-to-earth slant drew critical praise and positive notices from women empowerment blogs but sadly the title could not generate enough sales and the solicitation for the eighth issue announced its end. All these aside, this accidental 8-issue limited series is fun, charming and a great heroic read that can be shared with the all ages scene quite nicely.
