Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) today is most famous for his revolutionary and vastly popular creations in glass, and yet his contributions to art and design were so much more. Tiffany was a painter, a photographer, an interior decorator, an architect, and a designer of ceramics, enamels, and jewelry in addition to glass lamps, windows, and vases. It is no easy career to sum up. Tiffany, however, characterized his life’s work simply and elegantly as a “quest of beauty.” Travel through the sections of this exhibition and learn about Tiffany’s quest.
