This week’s issue of Carp-Talk (issue 1228) is available to download now!

It seems there is no relenting from the UK’s carp, as more and more big fish are caught every day. This week, we have the lowdown from Sam Stott who landed the jewel in the crown, Bitemark at 51lb 6oz, from Stoneacres on the Linch Hill complex. We also have the story from Ben Frampton, who landed the New Forest Water Park’s largest resident Single Scale at 50lb 5oz on a guest session. Over on Cambridgeshire whacker factory Holme Fen, a group of anglers helped themselves to two fifties and Captain Jack at 67¾lb. We also have a Pullens Lake fifty from Elphicks in Kent, and a Lincolnshire near-fifty in the form of Old Mill’s Big Common at 49lb 14oz.

Iain Macmillan talks about reviving his angling after he had some difficult times at home, while David Fuidge reflects on 12 years fishing the famous Wellington Country Park. Tom Forman of Nash Tackle reveals what his go-to spod mix contains and how best to apply it plus we have some excellent products from Fox, Rod Hutchinson, Chub, JRC, Navitas and Sufix in Trade Talk.

We have £250-worth of Avid Outline terminal tackle up for grabs and the Mainline weekly winners are revealed.
