This week’s bumper issue of Carp-Talk (issue 1226) is available to download now!

Consistent Ringwood angler Andy Muir landed his first one from a new lake for him this week in the form of a 52lb mirror from a local Hampshire club venue. Further north, in Cambridgeshire, Paul Bennet banked the largest UK carp of the week in the form of the new Grenville’s Lake record at 59lb 1oz. Cottington’s Big Girl was out again, this time to Ben Clark at 49lb 10oz and also in Kent, on Darenth Big Lake, Sonny Power landed a 49lb 6oz mirror. Simon Kenny is back again, with another 13-fish hit from Horton Church Lake, topped by four forties to 48¼lb.

Simon Kenny relays the story of his first red-letter session on Horton Church Lake, crowned by the lake’s largest resident. Regular Carpworld columnist Laurence East talks about tackling new waters while CC Moore’s James Armstrong reveals his top tips for surface fishing. Craig Runham reflects on his success on the Wasing Estate in an extended feature, which saw him come face to face with the British record carp. George Phillips reveals all about the ultimate urban location; The Salford Quays. Adam Clewer enjoys his spring carping while Sean Mayo talks about one of the most famous circuit venues of all – The Essex Manor. Finally, Iain Macmillan describes over complicated rigs and how he prefers to simplify his approach.

We have over £500-worth of prizes up for grabs. Two JRC Extreme TX landing nets with Landing Lights are given away in our wordsearch competition and 72 packets of VMC Mystic Carp hooks are also up for grabs. Plus the RidgeMonkey junior monthly winners and Mainline weekly winners are revealed.
