Altair Inspire Form 2024.0 | 4.5 Gb
Altair has released Inspire Form 2024.0 is a unique software that enables users to optimally design sheet metal components considering manufacturing feasibility and material cost.
New Features and Enhancements 2024.0
The Inspire Form 2024 release includes the following new features and enhancements
General
Press Coordinate System
The model setup and result visualization are now possible in Global Coordinate System or the Press Coordinate System. The Press Coordinate System is automatically created based on the draw direction. The user can switch between Press Coordinate System and Global Coordinate System using the context menu option “Align Model to Draw Direction”.
Materials
The stress – strain curve can be defined using a combination of Swift with Hockett-Sherby law or using Swift Voce law. Material yielding can be modeled using the Barlat 2000 yield criterion.
Callouts
Automatic callout creation that was disabled in version 2023 is now available in 2024
Tryout
Line Drawbeads
Line Drawbeads can be created by offsetting a wire body (edges or curves) and projecting it on to the attached tool surfaces.
Resolved Issues
The following issues have been resolved for the 2024 release:
- Show Thickened now adds thickness on both sides of the shell elements rather than on one side as in previous versions.
- Edge Strain and Displacement Contour graying out after turning on Initial shape is now fixed.
- Results contour color on the object not changing with legend value is resolved.
- Blank nesting on sheet showing incorrect number of components is fixed.
- Blank nesting results positioned out of the sheet layout is resolved
Altair Inspire Form is a complete stamping simulation environment that can effectively be used by product designers and process engineers to optimize designs, simulate robust manufacturing and reduce material costs. With the fast and easy feasibility module, users can analyze parts in seconds to predict formability early in the product development cycle. The automated blank nesting proposes an efficient layout of the flattened blank on the sheet coil to maximize material utilization. The tryout module includes a highly scalable incremental solver, helping users to iterate and simulate multi-stage forming, trimming and springback in a modern and intuitive user interface, reducing complexity and making the production of high quality parts more economical. Altair Inspire Form also offers an innovative user experience to seamlessly transition between design and analysis through a highly intuitive user interface designed for beginners and experts alike. It enables part and process designers to evaluate manufacturability early in the development cycle to avoid costly trials downstream. Altair Inspire Form automatically generates a report for fitted and nested blanks to help maximize material utilization
