Altair , a global leader in computational science and artificial intelligence (AI) is pleased to announce the availability of Altair PSIM 2022.3.0, Powersim’s flagship product for design and simulation of power electronics and motor drives.

PSIM-HyperSpice link
- With PSIM-HyperSpice link, the transient, AC, and DC Spice operations can be performed in PSIM environment.
- PSIM can generate a HyperSpice netlist based on the schematic.
- PSIM can pass the netlist to HyperSpice, and initiate the simulation.
- PSIM calls the HyperSpice DLL at each time step and receives simulation results from HyperSpice.
- Upon completion of the simulation, simulation results are displayed in SIMVIEW

PSIM-Embed Wrapper for DSP Code Generation
PSIM-Embed Wrapper generates a DLL block for controller implementations inside PSIM and export it to Embed so that user can generate target code for any DSP/Micro devices that Embed supports.

New OML Functions for PSIM-Compose Interface
- PsimSimulate: This command runs a single simulation (with parameters) and returns the graph.
- PsimASimulate: This command runs run multiple simulations simultaneously (each in a separate thread - with parameters) and returns the graphs.
- PsimIsSubcircuit: This command checks if a schematic file is subcircuit.
- PsimReadGraphFile: This command reads a graph file and returns the curves in the form of arrays of numbers that can be plotted or further modified in Compose.
- PsimWriteGraphFile: This command writes curves in the form of arrays of numbers to a graph file. The file extension determines the file format.
- PsimSimview: This command opens Simview and displays a number of graphs with options for the X and Y axis and an option for FFT
