Applied Flow Technology Arrow 7.0.1207 build 2019.12.11

AFT has announced the development and new version release of their software, Arrow 7.0.1207 build 2019.12.11. It's an awesome software tool that models, simulates, and analyzes pressure calculations and flow distribution in gas piping and/or ducting systems.

A few new features you might find interesting include:

- Import piping layouts from CAESAR II® Neutral files
- Import Piping Component Files(*.pcf) from SmartPlant®, CADWorx®, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and others.
- EPANET import / export
- Enhanced Excel integration including the new Excel Export Manager
- Utilize 2D or isometric user interface
- Clearer data entry for centrifugal compressor, reciprocating compressor and fans in the Compressor/Fan Property window
- Updated Relief Valve specification with opening and closing profiles
- Enhanced heat transfer including external convection coefficient calculation, buried pipe heat transfer, and heat tracing

- Resolved internal REFPROP error when using valve Cv loss.
- Improved calculation precision for Chempak with supercritical fluid near M = 1.
- Some calculations of dynamic pressure have been corrected, affecting Compressor DP when static pressure curve is entered and some PRV & PSV calculations.

- Fixed problem with the Cost Report loading which would delete the settings in Output Control when a scenario was loaded so nothing would be in the report.

- If a preferred unit was set as a default other than the application default, it would be overridden when the application was restarted. This was fixed.
- The Visual Report window was not displaying user-selected colors for pipes correctly the first time it was loaded. This has been fixed.
- The Excel Export was not properly exporting Cost Report data. This has been fixed.
