Artemis Modal Pro 6.0.2.0 | 354.4 mb
Structural Vibration Solutions A/S has unveiled ARTeMIS Modal 6.0 is the leading software for Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) for the vast number of cases where it is preferred not to control or measure the loading, used by engineers all over the world for modal analysis of all kinds of structures.
New features and layout
ARTeMIS Modal 6.0 has many new exciting features. Some of these are
- Mode shape uncertainty estimation (SSI-UPCX only).
- Modal Alignment window for all estimators driven by a stabilization diagram.
- Automatic Mode Estimation in Frequency Domain Decomposition methods has been improved, and can now also be operated using a graphical slider for the MAC Rejection level.
- Data Acquisition plugins combined with EMA plugin enable impact testing directly in ARTeMIS Modal.
- Software platform now supports both Tabbed and SDI layouts.
- Multiple animations can now be exported automatically in AVI and GIF formats.
This demonstration show some of the new features of ARTeMIS Modal Pro version 6.0. There is new tabbed layout, improved FDD automatic mode estimation, UPCX mode shape uncertainty estimation, and real mode shape estimation using complexity plot.
Mode Shape Uncertainty Estimation in SSI-UPCX
From the release of version 6.0, mode shape uncertainties can now be estimated in the SSI-UPCX modal estimator. All modal parameters and their uncertainties can, as such now be estimated, presented and exported to third party software.
Figure 1: Uncertainties of global modes estimated using SSI-UPCX estimator. Natural frequencies and damping ratios and their confidence bounds can be visualized in the Frequency vs. Damping diagram. Mode shape uncertainties are presented in the Complexity diagram where the real/imaginary confidence bound is presented for each DOF. Mode shape animations also includes an option to visualize the uncertainties. In the mode list all modal parameters, including the mode shape complexity, are accompanied by the estimated standard deviations.
Modal Alignments
In all the estimators that uses a stabilization diagram, it is now possible to view the modal alignments for the individual global modes. The modal alignments display the natural frequency, damping ratio and mode shape complexity respectively as a function of the state space model dimension.
Figure 2: The top view depicts the modal alignments for the global mode selected below. The natural frequency, damping ratio and mode shape complexity development over increasing model dimensions are displayed along with estimated standard deviations (SSI-UPCX only).
ARTeMIS Modal is an open, and user-friendly platform for modal testing, modal analysis and modal problem solving. If you can measure the vibrations, ARTeMIS Modal can give you the modes in terms of mode shape, natural frequency and damping ratio. For two decades ARTeMIS Modal has been the preferred software for Operational Modal Analysis (OMA). The modal analysis technology for the vast number of cases where it is preferred not to control or measure the loading. Now all versions of ARTeMIS Modal also includes polyreference methods for Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA).
ARTeMIS Modal Pro: the ultimate tool having all the features developed over the last 15 years. It has six operational modal analysis methods and supports several plugins for e.g. data acquisition and damage detection.
This video demonstrate how to perform a multi-setup testing for Operational Modal Analysis using a National Instruments data acquisition module.
Structural Vibration Solutions A/S is the developer of the ARTeMIS Modal software for Operational Modal Analysis. We are focused on the mission to be the leading provider of Operational Modal Analysis solution in the world and to follow our vision to develop Structural Vibration Solutions that every engineer can use.
The company was founded March 1, 1999 as a spin-off from Aalborg University in Denmark. Our patented software is today used e.g. by mechanical engineers for modal analysis of operating machinery and components, and by civil engineers for ambient vibration analysis of large structures like bridges and buildings.

ARTeMISModal is a software platform designed for Microsoft Windows 64-bit operating systems. To increase speed, it makes use of mathematical libraries from Intel. The help system is web based, so maximum performance is obtained by having an internet connection. Help system can be downloaded to the local computer if necessary.
- Intel 64-bit processor architecture
- Microsoft 64-bit Windows 7/10
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or higher
- 4GB of RAM (8GB or more recommended)
- 10GB of available hard-disk space. Since the space requirement is heavily dependent on the ARTeMIS Modal projects stored, 100GB is recommended
- 1,024x768 screen resolution or higher (recommended)
- Internet connection required for installation
