Bentley has released AutoPIPE Vessel 2025 (46.00.00.165). The Most Comprehensive Software for Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Air Cooler, and Tank Design Optimization.

What is New & Changed in AutoPIPE Vessel

The following outline identifies new features and enhancements in the AutoPIPE Vessel 2025 (46.00.00.165).

    Enhancements

    Codes/Standards
    - ASME VIII Div.1 - Appendix Y - Flat face flanges with metal-to-metal contact outside the bolt circle.
    - NB/T 47041-2014 - Anchorage, Skirt-Head Junction and Skirt Openings.
    - B36.10 & B36.19 2022 - Welded and Seamless Wrought Steel Pipe.
    Calculation
    - Analysis Selection dialog that expedites calculation by skipping subsequent checks like nozzles, flanges, support design, MDMT, etc.
    - Summary table for geometry elements under internal pressure (required minimum thickness vs. selected thickness) added to the report.
    - Lifting analysis and lifting accessory design without support calculations is now possible.
    - Guides for vertical vessel supported on brackets.
    - Linear loadings can be included as External loads. This leads to more accurate calculations and less effort than providing multiple point load inputs.
    - Several obsoletes Codes and Standards are no longer supported:
    . Pressure & Tubesheet Codes : CODAP 95 :1998 ; BS 5500:1997
    . Bellow Code: EJMA 6th Edition 1993
    . Flange Standard: ASME B16.5-1998/B16.47-1996
    . Wind Codes: ASCE 1993/1995 ; British Standard CP3 Part 2 - 1972 ; UBC 1976/1982/1988/1991/1994
    . Seismic Codes: ASCE 1993/1998; DIN 4149 - 1981; IS 1893 - 1984/1996; UBC 1976/1982/1988/1991/1994; Parasismique PS 69 - 1984
    User Interface
    - Change Nozzle dialog that allows the simultaneous edition of multiple nozzles’ properties and its comparison. Extension of old Change Nozzle Location feature.
    - Analysis Selection dialog allows to bypass non required calculation at first pre dimensioning steps(enabled in Preferences).
    - Summary table for geometry elements under internal pressure (required minimum thickness vs. selected thickness) can be displayed in the Results panel.
    - Lifting accessories are an independent component with its own dialog and thus are now present in the list of components and in the 2D view.
    - Guides dialog for vertical vessel has been moved into Support properties dialog.
    - External loads dialog has been revamped. Linear loads can be defined. Loads corresponding to mass and internal components can be explicitly specified.
    Drawings and Interoperability
    - AutoCAD 2025 export.
    - BricsCAD 2024 and 2025 export.
    - SolidWorks 2024 and 2025 export.
    Documentation
    - Tutorial updated (more examples, includes the quick start guide …).
    - Help - How To:
    . Add a User-Made Block
    . Understand Drawing Views
    . Understand Dimensioning Sketches

NOTE: Problems described below represent specific issues with specific test cases. It is difficult to succinctly describe a problem and how it impacted the specific test case. If you have any questions about the issues discussed in this report, please contact technical support.
    Calculation / Report

    - #1564875: Brackets- Calculation crashes when yield strength is not defined.
    - #1555463: Octagonal/circular platform - Fix crash and add warning message when angle is incorrect.
    - #1555475: Horizontal Vessel with very low level liquid causes a crash.
    - #1585650: Flat head with multiple nozzles (CODAP and AD2000) causes crash in calculation.
    - #1615218: EN 13445 - Conical head under external pressure - calculation fails.
    - #1615704: Anchor rings dimensions from customizable file are reversed with CODAP and EN 13445 methods.
    - #1617826: Wind load EN 1991-1-4 - Reference height for Vertical vessel is not calculated as per correct formula (Figure 6.1).
