The Autodesk Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre development team is pleased to announce the availability of PowerInspect 2021. This software offers a powerful solution for inspection, validation and quality control for all types of measurement equipment.
PowerInspect 2021 new features and enhancements
Single probed geometric points
When probing and viewing single geometric points, in the Feature Probing dialog, you can now move between point items at any time to help reduce the time needed when taking measurements to make incremental changes. PINS-3760
PowerInspect 2021 fixed issues
Add-ins
- OMV Probe Error Mapping: Fixed an issue where the orientation of error mapping of probe paths was sometimes calculated incorrectly. PINS-3597
- Electrode Inspection: Added support for calculating and outputting part position in a way that is more conventional for previous generations of manual and semi-manual part adjustment techniques. The output assumes that a part gets moved first and then rotated around its origin. PINS-3788
Metrology
- This version of PowerInspect is PTB certified. PINS-3734
Protocols
- Removed the FARO Tracker protocol. PINS-3820
- Fixed an issue that stopped the Metris HHD device from taking measurements. PINS-3751
General
- Fixed an issue where an error message was displayed when opening the info tab for Collision Avoidance Parameter items. PINS-3602
- Fixed an issue where a warning message about SERIALNUM was displayed when PowerInspect closed unexpectedly. PINS-3732
- Fixed an issue that caused PowerInspect to be unresponsive occasionally the first time a protocol was selected. PINS-3638
- Fixed an issue where occasionally some points were projected on the wrong side of the surface. PINS-3708
