New Features In This Release

Eurocodes example manual.
The Eurocodes example manual has been fully rewritten for the latest features and workflows in Autodesk Structural Bridge Design 2019. The associated files have been revamped and are located here:
_C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Structural Bridge Design 2019\Examples\EN Data Files_
Eurocodes load optimization.
Option added to include or exclude axles in the adverse area for highway loading special vehicles and special order vehicles. This option is implemented for both line beam and refined analysis.
Miscellaneous.
The Java environment can now be 32-bit or 64-bit (previously only 32-bit). As alternative to Oracle distribution, OpenJDK can now be used. Java is required for PDF creation. Option added to remove filename reference from the calculation header.

Primary Issues Resolved By This Release

Project / Structural Analysis
- Section loads in a project get cleared on opening if single design beam file was opened previously.
- PDF creation issue in 2019.0 and 2019.1 for non-admin accounts.
- Missing Australian example files.
- Warping angle check missing on geometry import. Add to avoid non-planar FE.
- Crash running structural analysis on model with character with diacritic in filename.
- "Unable to open DIF file" and "Unable to process DIF" errors when running Influence Surface Generation.
- Crash when importing dxf layout with "Split intersecting beam elements" message.
- Linebeam dead load analysis - Prestress secondary effect value displayed as asterisks.
- Denton Burgoyne analysis of FE Slab - Factor at one node shown as zero when applied moment is zero.
Design Beams
- AS5100.5: Calculation of reduction factor incorrect for pure bending.
- AS5100.5: Self weight moment calculation incorrect for pretensioned beams with varying section.
- AS5100.5: Incorrect beam legend descriptions for pretensioned beams if non-reversed bending plot is selected.
- Post-tensioned beam destressing stage applied additional prestress rather than negative prestress.
Design Sections
- Section analysis file system corruption issue.
- Eurocode shear depth for circular section is larger than diameter.

Autodesk Structural Bridge Design 2019.2

About Autodesk Structural Bridge Design 2019. Autodesk Structural Bridge Design software helps engineers achieve greater flexibility and efficiency in the design of small-to medium-span bridges integrating loading, analysis, and code checking processes whist providing an efficient workflow. This single integrated software solution does not require valuable time importing, exporting or converting data instead it provides tools to help accelerate project completion. Structural Bridge Design refines design options faster with automated updates in a define-analyse-code check loop whenever parameters change. Engineers can additionally improve accuracy and reliability by reviewing code check requirements with detailed “hand” calculation-style design sheets that are created will full formulae and code referencing.

The release Autodesk Structural Bridge Desig 2019 includes analysis and design to Australian Standards 5100:2017. As with all new versions, this release includes fixes to various user-reported issues from the previous release, providing an overall more stable experience.

About Autodesk. Autodesk helps people imagine, design and create a better world. Everyone—from design professionals, engineers and architects to digital artists, students and hobbyists—uses Autodesk software to unlock their creativity and solve important challenges.
