Back Stage Vocals is a one-shot VST plug-in that pre-mixes your vocal track, taking care of harsh frequencies and creating space to make it easier for your vocals to sit perfectly inside the mix. Back Stage Vocals combines moderate equalization, early reflections, stereo widening, and very subtle harmonics into one little plug-in, freeing your chain so you can add more effects and further audio level compression. For starters and podcasters, this could be the one plugin that you will need to put your vocals upfront and center in the mix. For pro's, this free vst plugin takes care of the easy but tidious task of prepping the vocals so you can go straight ahead to audio compression and other effects.

Back Stage Vocals gives you two controls for adjusting the vocal effect and air. Main vocals should ideally be more "upfront" and have more air. For backing vocals dial down these controls to push them further back in the mix. There are additional side-switches that allow you to add stereo-width and gain. Main vocals are best left in the center, but you can try applying stereo-width for added effect. Backing vocals complement solo's when stereo-widening is switched on. For simple projects, all that's left to do is add the music and adjust the levels, and you're done! For serious recordings, your job of mixing just got so much easier.




intended for those who need to get their mix done fast and clean but want to have a lot of control over the sound, Back Stage EQ ONE packs eight controls for adjusting certain characteristics of the sound such as depth, warmth, body, clarity, presence, brightness, punch, and space. Gentle compression is carefully applied to certain frequencies to help remove some common defects in the sound like too much low-rumble and sibilance. Punch and space are non-EQ controls. Punch increases the attack of the sound, while space applies subtle early reflections to reduce the proximity effect.

The 4-band stereo effect switches allow you to select which part of the sound to widen. This is useful when trying to move overlapping frequencies of different tracks (eg. moving the low of the vocals to the sides to make way for the kick drums and bass guitar in the center). There's also a send level control which allows you to adjust how much of the total effect will be applied to the original sound.
