Mitsubishi Electric has released Melsoft GX Works2 1.622Y is the engineering software for FX, L and Q Series devices. It is part of the iQ Works suite, but can be used separately.


GX Works is sequence programming software uses the program assets cultivated by GX Developer to pursue a more comfortable level of operability. GX Works consists of various different components that help to simplify project creation and maintenance tasks. A system design console that enables projects to be created at the system overview stage has been added. Additionally, the main programming languages are supported and their labels (variables) are shared, further simplifying programming. Various debug and maintenance features are also included. Various features have been consolidated into an integrated engineering environment that enables easier project creation throughout the engineering process, ensuring consistency through every step.
The all-in-one GX Works2 package supports entire engineering such as system design, programming, debug and maintenance. All capabilities required for PLC engineering including the configuration function of the intelligent function module and simulation function are integrated in a single package. GX Works2 is a part of the Mitsubishi Electric software lineup powering the MELSOFT series of PLCs.
