Multiframe 2024 (24.00.04.133) | 808.9 mb
The MOSES, Maxsurf and Multiframe team is pleased to announce the release of Multiframe 2024 (24.00.04.133). This solution helps structural experts check the structure of their vessel to comply with class requirements and optimise it for strength and weight. It can be used for deck grillage, frame, superstructure and mast strength calculations.
Multiframe 2024 (24.00.04) - Date: 12 December 2024
Compatibility with Previous Versions
Multiframe data files are forward and backward compatible between most versions of Multiframe. Where backward compatibility has been broken, the option to export to earlier file formats is provided in the new version.
Changes: Multiframe
899435: Enhancement of Patch/Plate Element Edge Release
Similarly to the beam elements. Patch/plate element edges may release their rotational stiffness along an edge, effectively generating a hinged edge connection. This simplifies the modeling of hinged connections. An edge release removes the rotational stiffness about the edge. Edge release attributes are independent of load and freedom cases. Here is an example:
1503403: Enhancement of Envelope Case Plots
Enveloped load cases are used to identify peak values from results that consist of multiple result cases. In Multiframe, plate results are now included in envelope case plots. Envelope cases store the absolute maximum values across all cases, along with the maximum, minimum, and absolute values for displacements, plate internal forces, and stresses. Each envelope case can contain only one result type. The diagrams for enveloped cases display the contour outlines or renderings of both the positive and negative envelopes
Bug fixes and minor changes
- 899434: An issue with the incorrect patch/plate edge release has been fixed and enhanced
- 1522901: A fix has been applied to short value overflows for meshing size and joint numbers during Modeler mesh export
- 1554104: An issue with incorrect display and calculation of cross hair values in the envelope case has been fixed.
Changes: Shape Editor
Bug fixes and minor changes
- 1522000: Plastic neutral axis and other plastic properties of composite sections now correctly account for contributions made by materials with different yield stresses.
- 1565151: An error in principal section modulus which occurred during advanced calculations has been fixed.
Multiframe provides linear and non-linear analysis, static and dynamic options and buckling calculations. These analysis options are complemented by a full range of analysis-related modeling tools like master-slave, prescribed displacements, springs, thermal effects, offset members, additional masses and much more. Other modules allow you to draw sectionshapes and install them in the sections library and perform design checks for a range of design codes. Multiframe Automation allows you to prepare design calculations in Excel and link them directly with your Multiframe model. An ever expanding range of design add-ons also allows you to simplify steel code checking and optimization.
