What's New Highlights

ProStructures

- Common Tools is added to both ProSteel and ProConcrete workflows replacing Selection and Primary groups.
- Workspaces and Worksets
A new dataset for Russia is added to the existing regional datasets.
New variables
. PS_SEEDFILES – Directory or directories where ProStructures seed files are located.
. PS_FLAGTERMINATORUSER – Directory where user-defined terminates (DGN format). PS_FLAGTERMINATOR replaces PS_WELDLINEUSER that was new in the first CE release.
New folders are added under <product>Default\appl\ for common example files
The common example files were removed from the workspaces/datasets.
Renamed folders under <product>\Default\appl
In all workspaces (datasets), renamed Pro_st3d.fdf to Pro_st3d.fdt
Moved border DGNs (drawing frames, PS_DRAWINGFRAMES) from <product>\Default\appl\Details\FramesXXX to Configuration\Organization\ProStructures\Details\Frames. Imperial and metric DGNs are in the same directory.
Removed “ProStructures.cfg” files from the Configuration tree. These files ensured ProStructures’ “application.cfg” files were included appropriately in the first release. The msconfig.cfg file now handles that.

ProStructures CONNECT Edition Update 1 is compatible with ProjectWise CONNECT Edition Update 3 (10.00.03.xx)

- NC DSTV improvements
Resolved several saw length and miter angle issues for C shapes.
Rationalized attached part marking
Unprocessed stepped and counter sunk hole are reported in the log file
Streamlined edge preparation for some shape types
- Detail Center Express
The frm file has a new additional option to specify a Partlist Template Name.
When PartlistTemplateName is specified, all data provided by the template is used, and the information associated to these variables are ignored: ListStyle, ListType, ListScale, ListHorizontalStart, ListVerticalStart, ListGroupCount, ListGroupMultiplayCount
- DetailStyle enhancements
A new option is added to be able to dimension side view holes separately. A good application of this option is to separately dimensioning staggered holes on the outstanding leg of an angle.

ProConcrete

- Face Based Rebar Modeling along with the following commands are active features in the product, and no longer included as a technology preview

- Rebar Labels
Improved pre-formatted labels with data linked to 3d model and automatic updates when 3D model changes
Moved labels and manual edits to the label are retained when the 3d model changes
Leader lines and terminators/bubbles are parametric to the bars when 3d model changes
When the drawing scale is changed (on a sheet), any existing drawing labels are properly updated (text sizes on the sheet remains at exact same size in sheet regardless of scale)
- Rebar display improvements
Improved accurate 2D rebar display of main bars, longitudinal bars (circles when cut) and range bars
New rebar display options: Single-line, Full size (double-line), and Full-size filled (double-line with fill)
- Improved drawing update controls
2d drawing’s status is subject to user control. Drawings are either Dynamic (live), or Cached (frozen).
Cached drawings synchronization is controlled with following options
. Manual – User controls when update happens
. Automatic – Graphics are cached but are automatically updated
. Automatic with Alert – User is notified that drawing is changed and asked to accept the update
. Disconnected – drawing permanently loses connection with the model and cannot be updated anymore
- Improved reference file support
Drawings can be created using reinforcement models attached as references to an empty model, which allows users who are not the 3d modelers to create and work on drawings
Drawings and Sheets can be created in external existing or new DGN files, outside of the 3D reinforced concrete models
- Other drawing improvements
New drawings can be placed on existing sheets

Power Platform

- CONNECT Services
A new CONNECT Services tab has been added to the Drawing, Modeling, Visualization, and Admin workflows. This tab presently contains buttons to access the Bentley CONNECT Advisor and Issue Resolution Service. In the future, you will be able to access more CONNECT Services from this tab.
The Bentley CONNECT Advisor is now also accessible from the backstage (File > Help > CONNECT Advisor)
- Geo-Coordination
The description of a GCS can now be changed in the Geographic Coordinate System Properties dialog. Also, a new column GeoCS Description is added to the References dialog list box. It displays the description of the GCS, if the reference has one. This will help in identification of geographic coordinate systems, if you have many of them referenced in your model.
- Item Types
You can now select and attach multiple item types in one go using the Attach Item tool setting.
You can now create Pick Lists to associate with an item type property definition using the Pick List Manager (Technology Preview). Pick lists provide a way to let you use predefined values for item types properties. You can specify a pick list for an item in the property definitions of Item Types dialog, and then specify a pick list value in the Attach Item dialog for the specified pick list. Once the item is attached to an element, if needed, you can re-specify the pick list value in the Properties dialog of the element.
For example you can create a pick list named Manufacturer with names of different companies added as pick list Values.

LumenRT CONNECT Edition Update 5 is installed as a Companion Product in ProStructures CONNECT Edition Update 1. LumenRT CONNECT Edition Update 5 comes with new features such as Animation Camera link and Look at features, Pause on keyframes, Free movement mode for animation path, and so on. - CONNECTION Client
The CONNECTION Client now supports a remind me later option for the CONNECT User sign in.
