This latest evolution enables industrial users to add value to their SCADA investment with modern new features and functionalities that streamline the efficiencies for both engineers and operators alike.
SCADA Expert Vijeo Citect 7.40 has now joined Schneider Electric's StruxureWare software applications and suites, supporting company- wide optimization.

- Alarm performance improvements*
In version 7.40, some users have observed slower display of alarms after the login of a new user or start of the client. This delay has been reduced in version 7.40 SP1.
- Enhancements to the Equipment Editor
In v7.40 SP1, 15 fixes, 23 usability improvements and a number of graphical user interface (GUI) enhancements have been made to the Equipment Editor.
- Schneider Electric Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) Diagnostic Equipment Objects
The Library_Equipment include project now features a series of new genies and popup page templates providing:

- New Cicode function
A new Cicode function has been introduced in v7.40 SP1:
GetLanguage - gets the language currently used on the display client.
- EcoStruxure Web Services (EWS) Client
The EWS client enables Vijeo Citect / CitectSCADA to communicate with an EWS server.
- Quick Start Tutorial
A quick start tutorial has been added to the PC and Web-based Help, and is also available as two PDF documents. Split into two parts, the first part outlines basic configuration and the second part advanced configuration concepts which combined gives users a comprehensive introduction to Vijeo Citect / CitectSCADA.
- Testing
Our Quality Assurance (QA) team has successfully completed a comprehensive quality assurance program of verification, regression, system and acceptance testing on v7.40 SP1, as well as system integration validation with other products, including OFS, Historian, Unity Pro and Ampla.
- Installation / Un-installation of the Service Pack
