The Tecnomatix development team is pleased to announce the availability of Plant Simulation 16.0.This release added several new and cool features to simulation software, completing the content of the previous versions 15.1 and 15.2.

The most visible 16.0 version highlights are:

- JSON datatype for variables and attributes - JavaScript Object Notation is an open standard and human readable data interchange format
- Kanban-like material pull strategy for store objects that are used as fulfilment center (supermarket)
- Workplace with capacity for multiple operators at a station or machine
- New operating mode for the PlaceBuffer (sequentially indexing), implementing a buffer type that is often used in discrete manufacturing
- Reorganized, simplified and improved video capturing
