TASS International PreSCAN 8.4.0

PreScan the best physics-based simulation platform for ADAS applications announces the release of version 8.4. This software is a physics-based simulation platform that is used in the automotive industry for development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that are based on sensor technologies such as radar, laser/lidar, camera and GPS.

New Features PreScan 8.4.0:

Point Cloud Sensor
- New generation sensor to simulate point clouds for LIDAR applications
- Made with performance in mind (able to run in Real-Time)
- Provides range or x,y,z coordinates
- Provides an intensity value for each point
OpenDRIVE Roads
- Inherited path on OpenDRIVE roads:
. Preview of the inherited path
. Possible to end the path on user defined point along the lane
. Lane change is supported
- Lane marker support:
. All mark types except Botts' dots, grass and curb are supported
. Multiple road markings per road section/lane is now possible
- Superelevation (Banking) is supported
- Embankment can now be enabled
Generic models
- All PreScan experiments will now use new vehicle models (introduced in 8.2)
- Pre-8.2 models in experiments are deprecated and will be automatically migrated
- Refer to manual section about Model Migration for detailed list of implications
Frame skip feature
- Optional feature of the Remote Viewer Federate
- Remote Viewer Federate is decoupled from simulation (prevents slowdown when simulation is running at higher frequencies)
