Veertu Desktop 1.2.97 Mac OS X

Veertu Desktop 1.2.97 | MacOSX | 13 Mb

Run Windows and Linux on your Mac alongside OS X. Veertu is simple, light, secure virtualization software designed for Mac. With Veertu you can run your favorite Window or Linux distribution directly on OS X. Veertu is powered by Hypervisor framework and runs entirely in sandbox, eliminating the need for root permissions and kernel extensions. That makes it the most stable and secure virtualization solution for your Mac.

Configure and deploy Linux and Windows VMs in a streamlined manner
The Veertu Desktop app comes with a VM manager that keeps track of all your VMs and offers you the possibility to create a new one via a streamlined setup assistant. Note that via the Veertu Desktop Preferences window you get to change the storage location for the VMs.

Right off the bat, Veertu Desktop prompts you if you want to create a new VM by installing software from a DVD or ISO image, or you just want to import an existing VM.

When setting up a new virtual machine, you must provide details about the guest operating system and family, but also customize details related to the allocated CPU, Memory, SCSI controller, hard drive, optical drive, network card, or audio device.

Furthermore, you get to set a shared folder, choose to sync the clipboard between the native OS and the VM, decide to make the VM read only, to remap the Command Key to Control, or to activate the Retina HDPI support.

Interact with your VMs in separate windows while controlling their activity from contextual menus
When launching a new VM, the Veertu Desktop app would automatically open a new window where you get to interact with the virtual machine without any restrictions. The windows can be resized, you get to install guest add-ons to extend its capabilities, and so on.

Note that Veertu Desktop will keep a list with all VMs in its main window, together with their current status. Furthermore, you get to pause or shut down the VM with the help of simple buttons.

On the other hand, via contextual menus, you can choose to edit the VMs configuration, reboot, force shutdown, or delete the VM. If the virtual machine is not currently running, you can export it (the function is great if you want to move it on another computer.)

Native solution for running Linux and Windows virtual machines on Mac
Bottom line, Veertu Desktop is an open source project that enables you to deploy Windows and Linux virtual machines on Macs and interact with the operating systems without experiencing any issues when it comes to responsiveness.

Veertu Desktop delivers extensive control over the VMs configuration, offers you the possibility to keep track of their status, and integrates export and import capabilities for the virtual machines.

- Supported Guest Operating Systems
Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista and XP as well as any Linux distribution
OS X VMs coming soon…

- Light, fast and responsive
Veertu is only 20MB light. That coupled with native OS X integration makes it very fast and responsive

- Low battery consumption
Veertu leaves all CPU and power management to OS X which knows how to preserve the battery best. Other virtualization solutions compete with OS-X for CPU and drain your battery faster.

- Essential usability features
Veertu includes key usability features like full-screen mode for a seamless Windows experience, copy/paste between OS X and Windows virtual machines and shared folder so you can access the same files from OS X as well as on Windows
