EarthView is a dynamic desktop wallpaper and screen saver, which displays beautiful views of the earth with daylight and night shadows. It produces colorful, high quality, high resolution images for every screen resolution - even beyond 1600x1200! The program supports map and globe views, urban areas, city lights, atmospheric effects, clouds, local time display and much more. EarthView supports different maps that show our planet earth in different ways, like photographic or artistic. Many options allow total customization of all view parameters. EarthView has won many awards for its absolutely breathtaking images.

EarthView supports four different beautiful maps of the earth, starting at 10 km resolution, which means that at 100% zoom level, 1 pixel on your screen equals 10 kilometers on earth. If you purchase the full version, you'll get the possibility to download even more detailed versions of some maps, which have higher resolution. This means, they have much more detail, so you can zoom in even further!

High Resolution Maps
The 10 km resolution maps are freely available to everybody. The 5 km and 2,7 km high resolution maps are only available for download to registered users who purchased the full version of EarthView. Please send us an email with your license file and a request to access the high resolution maps and we will send you a user name and password for the restircted download area.
These are the different maps you can choose from:
Map 1: Photographic
The photographic map is generated from satellite photos of the earth. It is very realistic, just a bit optically enhanced.
Map 2: Realistic
This map is also generated from satellite photos of the earth. It is very realistic, elevations are shaded, colors are enhanced.
Map 3: Artistic
This map is generated from real data and drawings of the earth surface. Not as realistic as the satellite maps, but very beautiful and still topographically correct.
Map 4: Scientific
This is an analytical map, which shows the distribution of land, sea and green areas.
