Create complex and highly intuitive HTML, Flash or multimedia presentations.

The Script action
Adds the power of VBScript and JavaScript to your multimedia applications. Create re-usable code, custom functions and advanced interactions in the easy-to-use code editor. Any COM object can be accessed from your script. Mediator Exp also includes a complete code reference for both VBScript and JavaScriptenabling you to make the most of this powerful feature.

The AnimationTrack action - supported in Flash®
Gives you complete control over moving objects. You can size, rotate, change opacity and control the speed of the object using the AnimationTrack simple but effective interface. All the power of the industry-leader, all the productivity of Mediator Pro.

The HTTP Request action
The Mediator Exp HTTP Request action, now supported in HTML as well as Flash® export, allows you to communicate with any web server worldwide. By retrieving content from web pages, communicating with on-line databases and interacting with CGI scripts, Mediator can be at the heart of on-line learning or e-commerce applications.

The ActiveX object
Allows you to add ActiveX components to your Mediator application. You can use any of the thousands of commercially available ActiveX objects or create your own. Combine the Script action with ActiveX and you can quickly create your own customized multimedia development tool.

Object Expressions
Mediator Exp variables can contain objects, enabling you to manipulate objects that are not known at design time. This offers an incredibly flexible way of designing dynamic presentations. It also tightens the connection between Mediator and scripting.

Script in Expressions
Just as with built-in functions and system variables, Mediator 8 Exp now lets you call script functions directly from any Mediator expression.

Commenting out
Mediator 8 Exp gives you the possibility of disabling particular events and actions in the Events dialog while testing your document in Mediator Designer, thus speeding up the process of identifying potential design problems.

Insertion of HTML code
Mediator 8 Exp allows you to insert HTML code directly into the Mediator project. The code is inserted in the <HEAD> section of the main html pages, after the HTML code created by Mediator.
