In a dystopian, underpopulated and rat-infested New York, the young French immigrant, Lafayette, makes a living as a handyman and lighting technician at Mr Flaxman's Roman Empire Wax Museum. But when Lafayette adopts a baby chimpanzee which was found helpless next to King Kong's dead body near the Hudson, much to his surprise, a father-and-son relationship will begin, as his pregnant girlfriend is waiting for their baby's birth. In the end, is there a future in this bizarre coexistence?
