    Continued from City of Heroes Volume 1, that ended one month before. City of Heroes is written by Mark Waid and illustrated by David Nakayama. This version of the adaptation to the Massive Multiplayer Online Superhero-Themed Role Playing Game follows the hero, Statesman and the superhero group that he leads called the Freedom Phalanx. Issues #1-3 were written by Mark Waid. Issues #4-6 were written by Troy Hickman. Issues #7-9 were written by Dan Jurgens. Writer David Wohl then took responsibility as writer of the series starting from Issue #10 to Issue #15 until Sean Fish took the position of writer until the series was discontinued at Issue #20.
