CSI Detail 18.2.0 build 11040 | 326.8 mb

Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI), is pleased to announce the availability of Detail version 18.2.0 build 11040 is an integrated and interactive software product for generating detailing output, such as detailed views, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and bills of quantities (BOQ) from ETABS models.

CSiDetail 18.2.0 Enhancements - Date: 6-Apr-2021

Import and Export
Rebar details from ETABS walls and floors can now be exported to Revit® 2021 with CSiXRevit 2021.

CSI Detail 18.2.0 build 11040

This document lists changes made to CSiDetail since v18.1.1, released 11-February-2020.

4106 An enhancement was made to consider the effect of joint offsets defined as part of insertion points assigned to frame members in the ETABS model. The effect of cardinal points was already being considered.
5214 An enhancement was made to add Story names and beam sizes to beam elevation views.
5346 An enhancement has been made to export rebar information for walls and floors from CSiDetail to Revit 2021. CSiDetail obtains geometry and design information from ETABS (v18.1.1 and later) and uses this to create the detailed reinforcement layout. This can then be exported to Revit 2021 via an .EXR file that can be imported into Revit 2021 using the CSiXRevit 2021 plugin.
5958 The version number has been changed to v18.2.0 for a new Intermediate release. This version is compatible with ETABS v18.1.1 through at least v19.1.0. Note that full seismic detailing will not be available with older versions of ETABS.
3812 A change was made to reduce the net beam bottom width to 2.25 inches. It was originally imposed as 3 inches which was causing detailing problems.
4711 An incident was resolved where the concrete volume calculated for walls could be incorrect leading, to an incorrect ratio of rebar to concrete being reported. 6268 An incident was resolved where CSiDetail was unable to generate drawings when the model contained several connected box walls.
4345 An incident was resolved where certain models could not be exported to AutoCAD as .DXF or .DWG files. This error was not common. Detailing of the models within CSiDetail was not affected.
4730 An incident was resolved where reinforcement imported into Revit from CSiDetail via CSiXRevit did not correctly account for beam and column insertion points present in the CSiDetail/ETABS model.
2005 An incident was resolved where the Bill of Quantities for tendons could give an incorrect value for the number of jacking and anchor ends.

CSiDetail is an integrated and interactive software product for generating detailing output, such as detailed views, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and bills of quantities (BOQ) from ETABS models. CSiDetail creates a detailed model of the structure, based on its analysis model and the design process carried out in ETABS.

It automatically generates views and drawings that can be used as the basis for preparing final engineering drawings, as well as BIM files for use in BIM tools. Detailing can be carried out both for concrete and steel buildings. CSiDetail generates reinforcement details for slabs, beams, columns, and walls, grouping similar beams and columns in the process. Reinforcement details are presented in the form of tables and schedules for groups of components, as well as drawn in plans, elevations, and sections for individual elements. The rebar cage of individual components or the entire structure can be viewed in an interactive 3D model, showing individual rebars in true 3D coordinates. Detailing is carried out based on an extensive set of preferences and rules to control bar-size selection, spacing, curtailment, and placement.

Preferences and rules can be user-defined, conforming to various design codes and local practice. This provides full customization capability for controlling how detailing is carried out and output is generated. CSiDetail has extensive capabilities for editing reinforcement. Generated views can be edited or formatted as needed. Drawings can be generated automatically for selected floors and components or created individually by combining required views. Both drawings and individual views can be exported as DXF files to CAD programs or printed directly. Framing plans, framing elevations and sections are generated automatically, and presented in tabular format. Elevations and sections of individual beams and columns are also available if needed.
