The PTC Creo development team has launched Creo Illustrate 7.1. With this solution, you can create rich 3D technical illustrations, 2D drawings, and interactive animated sequences that accurately reflect current product configurations and support formats from hard copy to augmented reality.

What's new in Creo Illustrate

Add Support for Tiled Textures
Support for tiled textures to be applied to a part. This includes support for multiple decals overlayed on a texture.

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
With the new texture feature it is now possible to add detail without adding geometry, such as a thread to a bolt. It is also now possible to add the material type such as cast aluminum or braided steel lines. These added details let an end user better understand the parts they are working with.

Publish Option for Item List
The publish option for item list allows you to include a CSV file per figure to include columns set in item list display.

What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You are now able to publish the item list per figure to allow post processing of the information. This could include checking the item list against an ERP system for completeness, or processing it into HTML or XML for parts pages among other options.
