What's new in NX 2506 Build 3000 (NX 2506 Series)
NX X web editing
NX X now lets you edit your designs in a browser, and provides essential CAD, CAM, and CAE tools that you can use on any device. This means you can modify your designs when you are away from your desk. You can also collaborate with other users before saving the changes to the built-in data management system. To invite other users to collaborate, you can use NX X web editing or use the Teamcenter Share browser interface. You can use the Connector application to synchronize the design changes between NX X on desktop and on the web. NX X web editing is available with all NX X product tiers.
Example : As a design engineer, you can open and modify NX models and drawings across devices, irrespective of whether you are on the shop floor, working from home, or collaborating with a supplier, while maintaining data fidelity.Workflow for web editing
The following describes the workflow for web editing when you use Teamcenter X for your built-in data management.
1. Export the assembly from Teamcenter X using the Export Assembly from Teamcenter command.
During the export, do the following:
a. Make sure that the Connector application is active.
b. In the Export Assembly from Teamcenter dialog box, set Output Directory as your Connector project folder. Connector creates a project accordingly.
c. Ensure that you set the value of the Associated Files Root Directory option based on the project folder, and that the files are editable.
Your assembly is now available in the Connector application.
2. On your browser, log in to https://cloud.sw.siemens.com/nx.
3. Open your assembly in the browser and edit your design.
4. Share the project with other users for collaboration. To do this, use Invite a New Guest.
5. Save the updates.
6. Verify that the updated files are available in the Connector application.
6. Import the updated assembly into Teamcenter X on your desktop using the Import Assembly into Teamcenter command.
8. Open your assembly in NX X and continue with your design.
If you have a different built-in data management system, or if you are not using the built-in data management system, you can omit the steps to export and import your assembly.
Note : The web editing application is automatically updated with the latest version. Hence, you must also have the latest version of the desktop application. This ensures that you can open the latest version of a file on your desktop application after you save it on the web.Sketch checking results
The green check mark was removed from sketch checking results to avoid confusion regarding the status of a correction. Previously, sketch checking results showed a green check mark next to Correct This.

Enhancements to multi-user notifications
In NX X, when you follow select parts to receive notifications about modifications by other users, NX now persists these parts across sessions. This ensures that the next time you open NX X, the Follow Parts dialog box includes a list of parts that you follow. NX X also automatically subscribes you to receive notifications for these parts in the subsequent sessions. You can do this for up to 2000 parts.
Note:
In the Follow Part dialog box:
- Simultaneous edits to the list of parts that are selected in concurrent NX X sessions are not synchronized while the NX X sessions are running. The updated list is available only when you reopen the NX X session.
- If you select a large number of parts using the Select Part from Teamcenter option, you may experience performance issues.
