    If you have used a Windows Server OS as a workstation OS (like Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008), you might have noticed that the installer for the Windows Media Format Runtime 11 hotfix is nagging that your version of Windows is not supported by this installation package, which is not true. The limitation is Microsoft policy (not to add any media features to their server operating systems).

    So, that's why I patched the installer so that it could run on a Windows Server operating system. One more thing I have to add is that I have tested the installer under Server 2003 x86 (32 bit) only, although I think the patch will work on Server 2008 too.
