iTwin Capture Modeler Center 2024 Update 1 (24.1.7.4760)

The Bentley Systems development team is pleased to announce the availability of iTwin Capture Modeler Center 2024 Update 1 (24.1.7.4760) is the desktop application that allows you to create engineering-ready reality data—such as reality meshes, classified point clouds, anonymized images, and orthophotos of any size and resolution—using any digital camera, scanner, or mobile mapping device.

- Tech preview: Gaussian Splatting.
. Added new production of Gaussian splats.
. Gaussian Splats can be viewed in the 3D View.
. Gaussian Splats can be edited to remove unwanted Splats.
. Measurements on splats are available (location, distance or area).

Improved
- 3D Tiles option "maximum screen space error" default value has been adjusted to improve display quality in Cesium ION and standard 3D tiles viewers (from 1 to 16). Advanced users can also edit the setting if needed in the productions settings for better viewing experience in custom Cesium viewer.
Fixed
- Fix a production crash when LOD across tiles is turned on and a reconstruction preset is loaded.
- Fix for thermal workflow failure with specific DJI cameras like the DJI ZH20T.
