This album is better appriciated as a whole listen rather than skipping around tracks and listening to some and not others. Each song on this album offers something a bit different from the last, each song holds its own against any other. A distinct change with Sunder Ohne Zugel is that vocals have been changed a fair amount. They have alot more power, rhythym, and sound overall cleaner and smoother. The old In Extremo singing style was a bit short and choppy, it made the singer sound loud and angry, which was good in its own. On Sunder Ohne Zugel the vocals are changed to a more powerful rhythymic style but offer something just as good as past In Extremo.
