Swagger chronicles the in-between period that came after the initial, wildly eclectic Tim Bowness / Steven Wilson studio experiments of 1987 and 1988, and prior to No-Man signing its first record deal in 1991. It mostly captures the band making a propulsive Electro-Rock music and forging a fresh and more flamboyant identity courtesy of new recruit, virtuoso violinist Ben Coleman. Featuring Steven Wilson’s guitar playing to the fore and Tim Bowness’s ‘before voice’, the music is notably more aggressive than what was created either side of it and, though it occasionally hints at the smoother Loveblows & Lovecries to come and the fragility of what preceded it, it has a unique sound that separates it from everything else the band has ever done.

Somewhere (somehow) between the feverish grooves of Madchester and the anthemic charge of the Britpop brigade, musically eclectic mavericks No-Man made a small mark on the early 1990s UK Independent music scene. The band released two albums and series of singles on the influential OLI label (Björk, The Shamen etc), which generated rave reviews (Singles Of The Week in Melody Maker, Sounds, and Hot Press) and radio/TV play aplenty (BBC Radio One sessions/playlist, appearances on MTV, Channel Four and ITV1). ‘Housekeeping’ is a comprehensive remastered collection of No-Man’s output for the OLI label between 1990-1994.

Warm Winter is an epic Art Rock album by Tim Bowness (No-Man) and Giancarlo Erra (Nosound). While occasionally drawing on the atmospheric nature of their main bands, MoM carves out a unique space for itself with an emphasis placed on direct songwriting and powerful instrumental arrangements as much as on mood.
Warm Winter includes stellar guest contributions from the likes of Peter Hammill (Van Der Graaf Generator), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), Robert Fripp (King Crimson), Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), Julianne Regan (All About Eve), Jim Matheos (OSI/Fates Warning) and Ricard Huxflux Nettermalm (Paatos)…

No-Man is a British duo formed in 1987 by Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree). The name No-Man was adopted in 1990 and first used on the self-released June 1990 single release, "Colours". Originally creating a sample-based proto-trip hop / ambient styled music, No-Man’s sound has become more organic, eclectic and band-oriented in subsequent years. Drawing from a diverse mix of Singer-songwriter, Post Rock, Minimalist, Progressive rock, Jazz, and Contemporary Ambient sources for inspiration, No-Man's sound is distinctive, yet difficult to categorise. On labels such as One Little Indian, Sony, Adasam and Kscope, the band has so far produced six studio albums and a number of singles / outtakes collections, most notably, 2006's career retrospective, "All The Blue Changes"…

Most well-known for his work in the duo No-Man, his long-running partnership with Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Bass Communion), Englishman Tim Bowness established himself throughout the '90s as a singer and musician with an ear for passionate and passionately wry music. His variety and range of musical interests, similar in scope to Wilson's own various explorations, resulted in a series of bands and joint efforts with friends covering everything from experimental, cutting-edge dance music to torch songs and progressive rock.

Look “no-man” up in Wikipedia and it will tell you that the band is an art pop duo, formed more than 30 years ago, who have so far produced 6 albums. At the time of their last full album release, 2008’s Schoolyard Ghosts, the careers of Messrs Wilson and Bowness were in completely different places: Wilson was embarking on his post Porcupine Tree solo career while Bowness had released a solo album a few years previously, and had been a member of a variety of side projects. In 2019, Steven is a bona fide, figure-head of the modern prog scene and Tim is a critically acclaimed solo artist with 3 recent albums to his name…

A collection of lush, atmospheric songs with a wide lyrical scope, Late Night Laments is the most intimate yet universal of Tim Bowness’s solo releases. Mixed by his long-term No-Man partner Steven Wilson and mastered by Calum Malcolm (The Blue Nile, Prefab Sprout), exceptional performances come from an impressive cast of supporting musicians including Richard Barbieri, Colin Edwin, Kavus Torabi, Melanie Woods, Tom Atherton and Evan Carson. Combining electronic soundscapes, acoustic instrumentation and unexpected rhythms, Late Night Laments is a tightly focused and emotionally charged entry in Bowness’s increasingly impressive solo catalogue. Contrasting with the sensuous beauty of the music, the frequently dark lyrical themes include meditations on generational divides, ideologically motivated violence, social exclusion, and a much-loved children’s author’s mental breakdown.

Produced by No-Man, Flowers At The Scene is a vibrant collection of 11 strikingly diverse songs. Against a backdrop of propulsive Art Rock, heartbreaking ballads and more, Tim Bowness distinctively delivers cinematic storytelling and disarmingly direct confessional lyrics on his strongest solo album to date. Representing the duo of Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson’s first joint production in over a decade, the album features stunning performances from an extraordinary cast of players including Peter Hammill, Andy Partridge (XTC), Kevin Godley (10cc), Colin Edwin, Jim Matheos (Fates Warning/OSI), David Longdon (Big Big Train), co-producer Brian Hulse (Plenty), Australian trumpeter Ian Dixon, and drummers Tom Atherton and Dylan Howe. The Curator, David K Jones, violinist Fran Broady and Charles Grimsdale also guest.
