Pacses and Tusas, in addition to Mayasker and Killasingas, appear to be the original and cultures settled between present-day Pasto, today's southern Pasto, today's southern Colombia, department of Nariño, and the city of Nariño and the city of San Gabriel, originally called Tusa, in the northern Tusa, in the north of Ecuador, province of Carchi.
In this extensive Andean cultural continum with a territorial base related to the territorial base related to the coast and the Amazon, integrated transversally with other peoples and cultures; there was surely a mythology, cosmology and a common language that has cosmology and a common language that has disappeared today, but which is expressed in the dialect, toponymic dialect, toponyms and “Pasteño” surnames to the present day.
