Tool deformation represents one of the most important quality degrading effects in milling operations. It occurs generally in any milling process due to the compliance of the used tool and process forces. It causes a deviation between the real and the reference path of the tool and illustrates therefore shape and dimension failures on the workpiece side. This book concerns the monitoring of deformation occurrences due to stress with the use of strain gauge on a reconfigurable machining tool, type Lego-like machine tools. Starting from the geometrical description of the model prototype, every structural component is analyzed and followed by strain gauge, microcontroller Arduino Uno installation, the signal generation processes. The measurement of stresses and deformation were taken in another step whereby the results gave clear indications to understanding behavioral aspect of the machine tool under stresses.
