Oförberedd hamnar han mitt i krishanteringen efter en av de värsta naturkatastroferna i modern tid. Tio år efter flodvågen skriver han nu om sin om sina upplevelser, sin sorg och sin vrede.

    9,3 på Richterskalan är en ögonvittnesskildring ur en ung UD-tjänstemans perspektiv – det kaotiska arbetet, hanteringen av döda och mötet med överlevande. En uppgörelse med hopplös byråkrati och ett utforskande av misslyckandets mekanik och en helvetesskildring, där Norman inte väjer för det mest fruktansvärda. Tio år efter katastrofen skriver han nu om sin maktlöshet och sin vrede. En dramatisering av 9,3 på Richterskalan har urpremiär på Malmö stadsteater i februari 2015, i regi av Sara Cronberg.
