A quick note from the author:

I would like to leave you with one of my greatest lessons when teaching safe sexual health education: No matter what content you are teaching, is not merely as important as the underlying message and inner transformation you are trying to instil in them, which can only be achieved once YOU (the teacher) are in-tuned with your highest and most caring self.

If you teach from a place of honesty, love and compassion, they will feel it. When teaching sex ed, it is essential that you recognize that YOU can help heal wounds, clarify misconceptions, remove prejudices, and guide each and every one of your students towards making wise and assertive sexual decisions. You are not simply teaching an ordinary course such as math or science, you are teaching life skills and what it really means to love and respect themselves, and others.
